On the occasion of the 14th International Fountain Pen Awards, the annual trend, design and technology barometer, the Léman Grand Bleu writing instrument won the Grand Trophy, Pen of the Year 2017.
Awarded by a jury of professional experts from throughout Europe, the writing instruments are evaluated according to a range of criteria including the comfort and feel, the form (finish, workmanship), the elegance and the quality of the pen.
The Léman Grand Bleu symbolises the new stylistic identity of the collection “Les Couleurs du Léman”. The more rounded outline of the Léman fountain and roller pens offers enhanced writing comfort while moving the engraved ring to the cap provides the ideal balance. This makes the pen’s opening lighter and even more silent. The exclusive lettering is combined with a new symbol, the hexagon, underlining the hundred years of Caran d’Ache expertise in the field of quality pencils.
The collection pays homage to the romantic beauty of Lake Geneva and the exceptional know-how of the master varnishers, guillocheurs and polishers. Finely engraved waves magnified by a translucent blue varnish reflect the splendour of the lake’s waters.
