WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?
- • Fresh flowers picked in the wild
- • A pair of scissors
- • A book to press your flowers
- • A sheet of watercolour paper, 220g/m² , in the size of your choice
- • Transparent glue
- • A Caran d’Ache palette
- • Supracolor® Soft water-soluble colour pencils
- • Brushes with a water chamber and/or traditional brushes
- • A frame
Step 1: pick your flowers
Take advantage of a walk in the countryside to pick plants that inspire you.
Step 2: dry your flowers
Delicately place the picked flowers between two leaves of a book to press them. Leave them for several days under a pile of other books to make sure they are really dry.
Step 3: create your arrangement and stick the flowers down
Place the dried flowers on a piece of paper to create an attractive arrangement. Leave enough space between the flowers to be able to add details in pencil later!

Once you are happy with the arrangement, use transparent glue to stick them down.
Step 4: choose you palette of colours
Your palette can consist of several shades of a single colour or additional colours.
Sofia has chosen green as the predominant colours as well as yellow and brown to create mixtures.
Step 5: add some details
On the rough side of the palette, scrape the supracolor soft in order to deposit a little pigment. Feel free to mix the colours to create new shades!
Using a paintbrush with water chamber or a moistened traditional paintbrush, add simple shapes in the blank spaces in your flower arrangement.
In a frame made from warm, light-coloured wood, this decoration combining a floral touch with colour pencils will transform your interior.
