Julie Thomas is a watercolourist and illustrator who lives in Geneva. After a relatively traditional career in the administrative sector, she became a full-time artist in 2020. Thanks to her fresh and gentle style, she creates evanescent atmospheres, alternating the transparency, flexible forms and stronger lines that can be seen in her illustrations. She draws her inspiration from her travels, in particular when she visits botanical gardens where she happily loses herself among the floral compositions, colourful petals and tangy colours. She also creates patterns for the textiles and interior design industries and hosts numerous workshops for beginners, teaching the basics of watercolour painting. She took her first steps in the world of publishing by illustrating two books for les éditions Forsbach in Germany in 2021 and 2023.
