WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED?
• Hard-boiled eggs
• A pencil
• A box of 12 tubes of Gouache Studio paint
• Fine paint brushes
• A glass of water to clean the brushes
• Kitchen roll
• A palette to mix the colours (optional)
• A spray-on fixative (optional, to protect the finished eggs)
FOLLOW THE STEPS
STEP 1 - PREPARING THE EQUIPMENT
First prepare your eggs by boiling them or buying them pre-boiled and ready to decorate.
If you intend to paint hard boiled eggs, make sure you leave them to cool completely before starting to decorate them.
Get all your equipment together and prepare your table.
STEP 2 - CHOOSING PATTERNS
Before starting to paint, take the time to think about the different patterns you want to create on your eggs.
Feel free to find inspiration on Pinterest, for example. You can opt to draw traditional Easter motifs, such as flowers, or to create more abstract or geometric shapes.
STEP 3 - CREATING YOUR COLOUR PALETTE
Choose the colours you want to use.
Feel free to mix colours to obtain the different shades you want to use.
STEP 4 - APPLYING THE COLOURS
Once you have chosen your pattern, start applying the colours that you have already mixed on your palette. Use a fine brush to produce precise lines on the surface of the egg.
STEP 5 (OPTIONAL) - FINISHING AND PROTECTION
Once completed, leave the eggs to dry completely.
If you want, you can apply a spray-on fixative to protect your work and give it a shiny appearance.
Once everything is dry, place your eggs in an attractive basket or on a tray to lend your Easter table a creative touch. It’s sure to impress your guests!
