Perpetuating the Caran d'Ache spirit of innovation, the colour experts of the Maison have developed a fine acrylic paint that is extremely pleasant to use. Acrylic is designed for artists and fans of colourful sensations. Highly resistant to cracking, the satin texture of Caran d'Ache Acrylic paint presents a smooth, flexible consistency which glides smoothly across painting surfaces and does not change when dry. Acrylic's final formula took two years of research and homologation in the laboratory of the Geneva-based Maison to perfect. The optimal result was achieved by using meticulously dosed mineral fillers, a new wax emulsion additive and highly concentrated pigments. The entire range consists of 30 luminous and opaque tints, including three iridescent shades in silver, gold and bronze. Acrylic is water-soluble and can be used for watercolour variations, brush or spatula work or with additional sand, stones or contemporary granular materials adding depth effects to artistic creations. Acrylic adheres to all types of backgrounds, whether paper, cardboard, wood and canvas, as well as to glass and to plastic or metallic surfaces.
