Caran d’Ache invites the Franco-Swiss artist Anaïs Coulon to make the windows of its creative space her own, at the very heart of Plateforme 10 in Lausanne.
When the illustrator and graphic designer Anaïs Coulon looks at a landscape, she retains the essential shapes and dominant colours. She distils them into their simplest form of expression, serving up an abstract world that is the dream reflection of the real world.
For Caran d’Ache, she has dreamt up a vision of the local lakeside scenery in delicately acidic colours, stretching the entire length of the space.
An ingenious system of modular panels in cut wood provides volume, encouraging people not to step inside but to enter this magnified and dreamlike scenery with their eyes. It is the opportunity to ramble through this poetic, dreamlike countryside… and to open the paths of the eyes. The artist created this installation with the acrylic paint range from Caran d’Ache.

A Franco-Swiss graphic designer, Anaïs Coulon grew up in a family of artists with a colourful, Bohemian atmosphere that still influences her work today.
